Brad Franklin

Executive Director

Brad founded Every Body Athletics in 2017 after seeing the need for services that focus on both the physical and social strengthening of adults with ID/DD. He received his Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Oregon, and spent five years as a high school teacher before moving on to serve four years as the Director of another nonprofit serving people with disabilities. He has been certified in both Personal Training and Special Populations Personal Training, and considers himself a lifelong learner in the field of exercise. He firmly believes that everybody is an athlete, and that we all win when everybody is included.

Outside of EBA, Brad likes to spend time with his wife and two children, hang out with friends, and root for his teams: the Ducks, Red Sox, and Suns.

 
 
 

 

PAIGE knutson

ADAPTIVE FITNESS SPECIALIST

Paige is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy who graduated from Pacific University, focusing a large part of her schooling on neuro-rehabilitation and community integration. She also has her undergraduate degree in exercise science and a personal training certification, and takes pride in making fitness accessible to people of all abilities. She played college softball in Colorado, and is passionate about using athletics as a way to bring communities of people together in a positive way.

Outside of EBA, Paige likes to do anything outdoorsy, play pickleball and golf with friends, and spend time with her family.

 
 
 

 

Delana Albaugh

Volunteer Program Lead

Delana was one of the very first volunteers in EBA’s history, and now is in charge of all volunteer and internship programming. She has her Bachelors in Social Work from George Fox University, and has great experience coming alongside people with and without disabilities. She’s very relational, and greatly values and appreciates the 1:1 connections that she’s able to make with each and every EBA teammate.

Outside of EBA, Delana likes to spend time with friends and family, go to new coffee shops, and read.

 
 
 

 

TAYLOR ALDERMAN

PROGRAM MANAGER

Taylor has been with EBA for a LONG time, and is the only two-time intern (high school and college) in the organization’s history. Taylor has her degree in Special Education from Gonzaga University, and comes with extensive experience in the disability community. She is a big advocate for inclusion, and it all stems from her big heart.

Outside of EBA, Taylor enjoys reading, watching reality TV, and spending time her dog (Olive) and cat (Betty).


Nick Kotchik

Adaptive Fitness Coach

Nick is a native Oregonian who spent the last four years working in special education. He has extensive experience working with people of all abilities, and specialized in helping individuals with behavioral needs find success inside and outside of the classroom. Nick is a strong disability advocate who really values building relationships and forming connections with all people.

Outside of EBA, Nick likes sports, hanging out with his pets, and watching movies.

 

 

Mitchel Truair

Athlete Representative

Mitchel has been an athlete at EBA since 2017, and now brings the same work ethic to the staff as an Athlete Representative. Mitchel puts forth great effort with both his physical and social exercises during each EBA class, and is a great friend to everyone he meets. He is excited to be a part of the volunteer recruitment staff so he can get to know more people and encourage them to join him at EBA.

Outside of EBA, Mitchel likes to listen to music, text with friends, and discuss the overwhelming benefits of free universal public wifi.


Eli Reimer

Athlete Representative

Eli has been an athlete at EBA since 2019, and even participated in EBA Online classes while he lived abroad in Ukraine for years. His history with travel goes back even further, as he was the first American with Down Syndrome to climb to the Base Camp of Mount Everest. Eli is a big people person, and is excited to help EBA build new relationships with others as an Athlete Representative.

Outside of EBA, Eli likes to spend time with is family, eat gluten-free food, and watch sports.

 

 

Ashlea Herzog

administrator

Ashlea came to EBA after working for three years as an administrative assistant at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She also served as a mental health counselor in Seattle, having received her Master’s in counseling from George Fox University. She now lives in Oregon with her husband, two boys, and sweet little girl.

Outside of EBA, Ashlea likes to read, explore new parks and hiking trails with her family, and have coffee with friends.


Hanna Laney

Bookkeeper

Hanna is a former cattle rancher and professional writer. She received her bachelor's degree in history from Gonzaga University and later went on to run her family business, Laney Family Farms. She's a mom to her sweet son, Sam, and she volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Yamhill county. 

Outside of EBA, Hanna enjoys jogging, crosswords, and exploring the Willamette Valley with her husband.

 

 

Kevin Landon

EBA Coach

Kevin is a retired high school teacher, having taught Adaptive PE, Health, and Physical Education for 22 years. Kevin also coached football and track and field at the school. Throughout Kevin’s impressive teaching and coaching career, he finds the 30+ years he’s spent working with people with disabilities has been one of the best experiences he’s ever had.

Outside of EBA, Kevin likes fishing, snow skiing, and traveling.


McKenna Finley

EBA COach

McKenna is a graduate of Lewis and Clark College with a long and impressive resume of disability advocacy. She was one of the very first EBA High School Interns, and helped develop and grow EBA’s robust volunteer program. She holds undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and Hispanic Studies, and places tremendous value in inclusion. McKenna also places value on the connection between physical activity and social/emotional strengthening.

Outside of EBA, McKenna likes to read, sculpt, and eat tomato soup.

 

 

Sera Reilly

EBA Coach

Sera has done it all at EBA- first helping as a teammate, then as a school ambassador, working as the summer intern, and now as an EBA Coach! She is finishing up her Kinesiology degree at Oregon State University, and plans to put her degree to good use as an Occupational Therapist. Sera is determined to make the communities around her more inclusive, and takes a holistic approach to working with people of all abilities. 

Outside of EBA, Sera likes to hang out with friends, go to sporting events (she’s a huge Phillies fan), and spend time outdoors. 


Anna Gayley

EBA INTERN

Anna is a senior at Reed College where she is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is studying math and dance to become a teacher! She strives to create an inclusive space in her classroom for people of all abilities. Anna has been apart of EBA since January of 2023 and is known by MANY of our athletes and teammates already.

Outside of EBA, Anna likes to workout, go for walks, and hangout with her friends!
